TransAsia flight Crash in Taiwan - Watch Video

The plane of TransAsia carrying 58 people - five of which are members of the crew - crashed into the Keelung River in the vicinity of Taiwan, after hitting a bridge. So far, according to news agency CNA, at least 12 dead and 16 wounded. There are still 29 missing passengers.

The Civil Aviation Administration of Taiwan showed that the ATR-72 pilot warned of the existence of an emergency just before the device being dropped. The plane Transavia came from Songshan airport, by 10:52 (02:52 in Lisbon) bound for the islands Kinmen, and will crashed ten minutes after take-off.

The CNA reports that the authorities believe the 29 missing who followed the GE235 flight are trapped in the fuselage of the plane.

The head of Taiwan's National Fire Service stressed that the work that is being done based on "trying to use cranes to lift the front of the wreckage, which is submerged and where it is estimated that is most of the other passengers."
